What can you say about someone who taught you so much?

Topper was 4 years old when we had the good fortune to buy him and make him part of our family.  He was truly an amazing animal!  His show record says a great deal but what is even more impressive was the fact that he was so intelligent!

He taught us more about dog shows and showing dogs than any classes we took, books we read and all the years experience we could total.

He is still to this day the only American Bred Pied to win BREED at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club at Madison Square Garden in New York City and did so at the age of 2 years!

He finished in the TOP TEN every year that he was campaigned and this was extremely difficult for a Pied back then because the Judges just wouldn't put up a Pied...many times when we had Top on the table in the show ring, Judges would say "Don't bring him back to me, I don't like his markings" but we perservered and Topper won many Groups which was also unheard of back then.

He was a wonderful show dog that was all business in the show ring.  One of his favorite things was going to the drive thru at McDonalds or Burger King and waiting for his burger and fries...many a drive thru attendant would pull back when they saw that big old head hanging out the window waiting for his food.

I could go on and on with so many wonderful stories about him but will end this with saying that every time we breed, we look in every litter for another "Topper".

He has truly left his imprint on us and has made  tremendous strides for us in our breeding program and is the foundation of everything we have and we will always be greatful for all the many, many things he taught us!

Because of him, every Frenchie puppy that we keep here at McBeth's has a T in it's name as a tribute to the wonderful guy that he was and will always be in our hearts.

This lovely brindle daughter of Ch. H and A's Top Hat and Tails was our foundation bitch and taught us many things about the breed and helped convince us that this was the breed for us.

She was truly a wonderful mother and exceptional grandmother.  She has many children and grandchildren and they will bear some of her wonderful traits.

"Granny" as she was affectionately called would take all of the puppies after they were weaned and teach them what to do and what not to do in the house; i.e. don't chew on the firewood, don't put your paws on the coffee table, and how to share toys and all play together.

She loved the puppies and wanted them all.  She as truly the matriarch of the family and everyone respected her.

She will always be first in our hearts; we miss her terribly and are thankful for the opportunity to have experienced and learned so much from someone so wonderful!

Ch. McBeth's Thunder LeBulRosewod
Thunder, a full-hooded pied boy, has accomplished many, many things both in and out of the show ring.

Not only is he a multiple all breed Best In Show winner and sire of numerous Champion kids and grandkids, but also helped Frenchies get the recognition that they truly deserve in the show ring.

He loved showing and performing or playing to the crowd.  The more they clapped and cheered the more he loved it.  To this day, he loves being at the shows just to hear the applause because he is sure that they are clapping and cheering just for him!
It has been quite an experience living with and being owned by "the buns" as he is affectionately called at home.  We are truly thankful to have had the opportunity to provide him with everything he has needed over the years to become the History Making Pied French Bulldog.

To this day, people still stop by the coach and ask if Thunder can come out to play or if they can see him.  Even at ten, he's still the love of our lives and has many friends with many, many fond memories.
